The Beatles At Shea Stadium

August 15, 1965

Along with Woodstock, The Beatle's performance at New York's Shea Stadium can be called the most famous concert event in the history of popular music. Produced by legendary promoter Sid Bernstein and introduced by the equally legendary Ed Sullivan, The Beatles played, sang, sweated and laughed for a record setting crowd of 55,600 fans. It was the height of Beatlemania and launched the modern era of outdoor stadium shows.
